Treesa-Gayatri beat world no. 3 Japanese duo again at Asiad to reach quarter-finals

India's world number 26 Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand beat world number three Fukushima Yuki and Matsumoto Mayu of Japan 24-22, 21-18 to reach the quarter-finals of the women's doubles at Asian Games 2026 on Saturday. Notably, they had also beaten the Japanese pair in the quarter-finals of the women's team event earlier at Asian Games.
