The Allahabad High Court observed that the trend of sexually exploiting women by making false promises of marriage and later refusing to marry them is increasing. "This must be curbed at the outset," the court said. The observation came while rejecting anticipatory bail of a man accused of having physical relations with a woman on the false promise of marriage.
