A fresh trial over Argentina football legend Diego Maradona began on Tuesday after the first trial collapsed in May 2025. Seven people of his medical team are accused of failing to administer proper medical care and would face eight to 25 years in prison upon conviction. Maradona died at 60 due to heart failure while recovering after brain surgery.
