Tribal woman gives birth on road after UP hospital denies admission; doctor fired

A 20-year-old tribal woman, Rani, gave birth by the roadside outside Maharaja Chet Singh Government Hospital in UP’s Bhadohi after doctors and a staff nurse allegedly denied her admission. Her family alleged that hospital staff refused to attend to her over her caste, prompting Health Department to order an inquiry. Following the inquiry, an emergency duty doctor’s services were terminated.
