An income tax tribunal has dismissed a ₹1.2 crore additional tax imposed on a landowner from Andhra Pradesh, who had earned ₹1.8 crore from selling mangoes and other fruits he had cultivated. The farmer had declared a ₹48 lakh income after accounting for expenses, however, an officer had added the amount based on online market trends, as per ET report.
