American online travel company TripAdvisor has announced that it is laying off more than 900 employees, which is approximately one-quarter of its total workforce, in the light of COVID-19 pandemic. More than 600 of the fired employees are based in the US and Canada. "This pandemic has been nothing short of surreal," TripAdvisor's Co-founder and CEO Steve Kaufer said.
