Troy Kotsur, who won Best Supporting Actor Oscar, has become the first deaf male actor to win an Oscar. He won the award for his role in the film 'CODA'. His co-star from the film, Marlee Matlin previously became the first ever deaf performer to win an Oscar after winning Best Actress for 'Children of a Lesser God' in 1987.
