According to a new report by Smart Freight Centre (SFC) India, TERI and IIM-Bangalore, India's freight transport, particularly diesel trucks, contribute 50% to climate emissions despite having a 3% vehicle share. A new report warns freight demand and emissions are set to rise by 2030 and calls for a national freight emissions accounting framework to enable clean transport strategies.
