US President Donald Trump responded to Mayor-Elect of New York City Zohran Mamdani calling him a "despot" in the past as the two leaders met at the White House. "I've been called much worse than a despot, so it's not that insulting," Trump said. "Maybe he will change his mind after we work together," Trump added.
