Automakers Ford, General Motors and Elon Musk-led Tesla have been given the "go ahead" to make ventilators and "other metal products" to help plug shortage amid COVID-19 pandemic, US President Donald Trump tweeted. He added, "Go for it auto execs, let's see how good you are." Since COVID-19 can cause acute respiratory distress syndrome and pneumonia, ventilators are often needed.
