US President Donald Trump signed executive orders on Monday calling for development of "first-ever quantum computer powerful enough for scientific research" by 2028 in a bid to rival China's advancing technologies. Order also sought ⁠to protect government computers against cyberattacks by setting a goal of migrating key government ​computing systems to post-quantum cryptography by 2030 or 2031.
