US President-elect Donald Trump's transition team has suggested scrapping a rule that requires companies to report car crashes involving automated-driving systems, Reuters reported. Trump's ally Elon Musk-led Tesla, which has reported over 1,500 crashes to regulators, opposes the rule. The team called the measure a mandate for "excessive" data collection, the report stated.
