US President-elect Donald Trump plans to pick businessman William Hagerty as the next US ambassador to Japan, according to reports. Hagerty is a Tennessee native who served in the White House in President George HW Bush's administration. He will replace Caroline Kennedy, the daughter of former US President John F. Kennedy.
