Trust seeks to rename Sagara Jambagaru station after Ram Lohia

The Shantaveri Gopala Gowda Samajawadi Adhyayana Kendra Trust has urged Union Minister V. Somanna to rename Sagara Jambagaru railway station in Shivamogga district after Dr Ram Manohar Lohia. Police arrested the socialist leader at the station on June 13, 1951, during the Kagodu Satyagraha. The trust has renewed its demand after years of delay.
