TSMC is considering buying a controlling stake in Intel's US chip factories amid the latter's declining financial state, Bloomberg reported. Officials of President Donald Trump's administration reportedly pitched the idea in recent meetings with the Taiwanese chipmaker. A White House official, however, said that Trump is unlikely to support a foreign entity operating Intel's factories.
