Ahead of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) elections, the Karnataka government on Thursday announced the transfer of the civic body's Chief Commissioner Gaurav Gupta and has appointed IAS officer Tushar Giri Nath as the new head. Nath was previously the Principal Secretary in the state's Revenue Department. Gupta was appointed as BBMP Chief Commissioner last year.
