Ahead of the Tamil Nadu Assembly polls, T Velmurugan said his party, Tamizhaga Vazhvurimai Katchi (TVK), has exited the DMK-led Secular Progressive Alliance. Velmurugan said the decision was due to his party being "ignored". The move comes after a seat-sharing dispute in which TVK demanded at least one additional seat compared to the previous election, which the DMK declined.
