Tamil Nadu CM Vijay’s party TVK won 108 seats in the recent state assembly polls, but data shows it fell short of an absolute majority by just 4,649 votes across 10 key constituencies. These were seats where TVK finished second by narrow margins, including Tirukkoyilur (285 votes), Kulithalai (579), Palani (693), Kovilpatti (843), Vikravandi (910) and Udhagamandalam (976) among others.
