India's third-largest two-wheeler manufacturer TVS Motor Company has acquired 122-year-old British brand Norton Motorcycles for ₹153 crore. "Norton presents us with an immense opportunity to scale globally," TVS said, adding it would provide "full support for Norton to regain its full glory". The British firm, founded by James Lansdowne Norton in 1898, fell into administration in January.
