Twitter on Tuesday said it will shut down its live-streaming app Periscope, which it bought in 2015, due to declining usage over the last two years and high supporting costs. "Periscope app is in an unsustainable maintenance-mode state," it said. Twitter added that the announcement had to be delayed due to reprioritised projects amid COVID-19.
