Twitter announced that it will discontinue offering free access to its Application Programming Interface (API) from February 9 and will launch a paid version. Twitter Developer account said the firm will be ending support for both legacy v1.1 and the new v2 of its APIs. Twitter's API allows third parties to retrieve and analyse public Twitter data.
