Typhoon Koppu leaves 54 dead in the Philippines

Fifty-four people have died as of Thursday in a typhoon that has reportedly displaced almost 5,00,000 people in the Philippines. Up to three-metre-high floods caused by Typhoon Koppu have waded into coastal villages. The floods are expected to last a week, authorities said. Typhoon Koppu is the second deadliest typhoon to strike the Philippines in 2015.
