UAE, Saudi Arabia, 6 other nations warn Israel over 'E1' plan, call it 'dangerous escalation'

UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan, Indonesia, Pakistan, Türkiye, and Egypt have warned Israel over its 'E1' settlement plan, calling it a "dangerous escalation" in a statement issued on Friday. They emphasised that such actions seriously jeopardise regional and global peace and security and violate international law. Under the plan, Israel seeks to build 1,234 housing units in E1 near Jerusalem.
