The UAE carried out multiple airstrikes against Iran which began in the early days of the war and continued till the April ceasefire, The Wall Street Journal reported. Targets of the airstrikes included Qeshm and Abu Musa islands in Strait of Hormuz, the port city of Bandar Abbas, Lavan Island's oil refinery, and Asaluyeh petrochemical complex, as per the report.
