US technology company uBeam has demonstrated its wireless charging technology at the Upfront Summit in Los Angeles. The company claims to have developed a way to charge devices using ultrasonic waves, for cordless charging regardless of the surface the gadget is touching. uBeam has earlier been compared with healthcare company Theranos which downsized operations after reports of false blood tests.
