Uber and Hyundai-owned Motional announced that Uber users in Las Vegas would have the option to match with a self-driving Motional Ioniq 5 robotaxi. The vehicles will pick up and drop off passengers in five areas around the city for now. Moreover, the firms expect to provide a fully driverless service in the city by the end of 2026.
