Former Uber CEO Travis Kalanick's robotics startup, Atoms, raised $1.7 billion in a funding agreement led by Andreessen Horowitz and Uber joining as an equity partner. As part of the deal, Andreessen Horowitz's co-founder Ben Horowitz will join Atoms' board. Kalanick publicly launched Atoms in March after expanding and renaming City Storage Systems, which he started building after leaving Uber.
