Uber opposes govt's move to likely cap surge prices: Reports

Ride-hailing giant Uber has reportedly contested that restricting cab fares would result in lower earnings for the drivers. This follows reports claiming that the government will likely cap surge prices charged by cab aggregators at thrice the base price during peak hours. Uber reportedly said drivers in Bengaluru, where fares are regulated, on average earned 8-15% less than in Hyderabad.
