Uber has ceased all operations across Pakistan amid growing local competition. The ride-hailing company had already stopped its services in some major cities including Karachi, Peshawar and Islamabad in 2022. An Uber spokesperson said the company will continue to operate in Pakistan through its subsidiary Careem, which Uber bought for $3.1 billion in 2020.
