Uber, which raised $3.5 billion on Wednesday, started with an investment of $200k in 2009 from Co-Founders Travis Kalanick and Garrett Camp. The company, currently operational in 69 countries, did its first test run in New York in January 2010 with three cars. With a $66 billion valuation, Uber is today the world’s most valued private technology company.
