Udupi–Chikkamagaluru MP Kota Srinivas Poojary urged the Central Government to fast-track the upgradation and doubling of the Konkan Railway, a key coastal corridor linking Kerala and Mangaluru with Goa and Maharashtra. Speaking under Rule 377 in the Lok Sabha, he highlighted the need for better connectivity, smoother train operations, and improved passenger convenience along the busy route.
