UK's communications regulator Ofcom has published a draft age-check guidance for service providers publishing pornographic content online to prevent children from accessing their content. It has suggested using AI-based facial age estimation, digital identity wallets and photo-ID verification, among other measures. Self-declaration of age is not a highly effective method to verify age, Ofcom said.
