The UK police have auctioned off over £240,000 of cryptocurrency that was confiscated from a teenager who hacked internet provider TalkTalk in 2015. The teenager, Elliott Gunton, was caught in 2018 for stealing thousands of customers' personal details in exchange for cryptocurrency. In 2016, Gunton said he wasn't trying to profit from the TalkTalk breach but just 'showing off'.
