Britain’s communications regulator, Ofcom, has launched a probe into Telegram over concerns that child sexual abuse material may be circulating on the platform. Telegram “categorically” denied the allegations, saying it has worked to curb such content. The company added that since 2018 it has “virtually eliminated” public spread using algorithms and continues to strengthen safety measures.
