UK steel import curbs cast shadow on India-UK FTA rollout

India's Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) with UK, initially expected to be implemented ​by May, has been hit by the latter's new steel import curbs. UK government has decided to cut tariff-free steel import quotas by 60%, a factor not negotiated during CETA. "We are working together to ​find ⁠a creative solution," Commerce Secretary Rajesh Agrawal said.
