Simon Bramhall, a UK surgeon who admitted branding his initials on two patients' livers during organ transplant in 2013, has been barred from practising medicine. Bramhall used an argon beam machine to brand the organs while working at Birmingham's Queen Elizabeth Hospital. The Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service said it was an "act borne out of a degree of professional arrogance".
