A young, 31-year-old British woman died of a rare form of dementia that set in when she was in her late 20s. Gemma Illingworth, from Manchester, was diagnosed with posterior cortical atrophy, a progressive neurodegenerative disorder that makes you lose neurons or brain cells in the part of your brain that manages what you see.
