UK woman fired for being pregnant upon return from maternity leave, awarded ₹31 lakh

A UK woman named Nikita Twitchen was fired for being pregnant with her second child after returning from maternity leave. Twitchen claimed the company and MD Jeremy Morgan stopped contacting her after learning of her second pregnancy. She said Morgan told her financial struggles was her dismissal's reason. An employment tribunal awarded her £28,700 (₹31.50 lakh) compensation for unfair dismissal.
