Ukraine's membership in European Union (EU) "will take time", French European Affairs Minister Clement Beaune said, as EU leaders arrived in France to discuss crisis following Russian invasion of Ukraine. Beaune's comment came even as eight EU countries had sought expedited EU candidate country status for Ukraine. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed an application to join EU last month.
