Ukrainian drones shoot molten metal burning at 2,200°C at Russian defences
short by Ashley Paul / on Saturday, 7 September, 2024
Ukraine's 'Dragon Drones' have begun shooting molten metal at Russian defences, with videos of their operations surfacing online. The drones drop thermite, a mixture of aluminium powder and iron oxide that burns at 2,200°C and can melt even military vehicles. Russians used thermite while attacking Ukraine, while Germany and the Allies had also used thermite in the two World Wars.
