Global images of Mars from NASA's MAVEN (Mars Atmosphere and Volatile Evolution mission) reveal previously invisible behaviour in the Martian atmosphere. They include the first images of "nightglow" that show how winds circulate at high altitudes. Further, ultraviolet imagery shows how ozone amounts change over the seasons and how afternoon clouds form over Martian volcanoes.
