On Friday, United Nations officially adopted a new set of goals to tackle climate change, poverty, and inequality over the next 15 years. Three years of negotiations led to the adoption of these goals, known as the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are formulated to provide a roadmap to countries to shape government policies over the next 15 years.
