Two days before Sonam Wangchuk's hospitalisation, Delhi High Court directed authorities to conduct daily clinical checks and provide medical intervention to Wangchuk whenever required. The court stressed that every citizen's life is precious and all efforts should be made by the government authroties to save the same. Delhi Police moved Wangchuk to hospital on Day 21 of his hunger strike.
