Underground tunnels of Colosseum fully opened to public after restoration

The underground tunnels of Rome's Colosseum, the 2,000-year-old stone amphitheatre from the Roman empire, have been fully opened to the public after restoration work. Visitors can now fully explore the underground tunnels and chambers where gladiators and wild animals once prepared for battle. More than 80 archaeologists, architects and engineers worked on the "hypogeum" for over two years.
