An underground tunnel that archaeologists say was aimed at imitating the underworld has been discovered underneath a pyramid at Teotihuacan in Mexico. The tunnel is hidden 10 metres beneath the ground. An archaeologist said, "The function of the tunnel may have been to reproduce the underworld, a world where life, animals and plants originated."
