Unemployment rate among people aged 15-29 in India rose to 15% in January-March 2026, up from 14.3% in October–December 2025, according to the data by Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation. Unemployment rate among rural males aged 15 years and above was 4.3% during January-March 2026, while for rural females in same age group it stood at 4.1%.
