The unemployment rate for Indians aged between 15-29 years hit 13.8% in April, while the rate for all ages groups stood at 5.1%, newly-released government data showed. Labour force participation rate, which measures the share of employed and unemployed population that is eligible to work, was at just 42% for all age groups. Unemployment ratio for 15-29-year-old females was 14.4%.
