Reacting to the Karnataka government’s decision to drop chapters on VD Savarkar, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari called it unfortunate and said that nothing is more painful than this. He added, "Savarkar was a social reformer, and he is a role model for us." Gadkari added that Savarkar and his family gave their all to the country, however, they faced insults.
