After US President Donald Trump shared a letter wherein India was called a hellhole, MEA said, "The remarks are obviously uninformed, inappropriate and in poor taste." MEA added it took note of subsequent statement issued by US Embassy, wherein the Embassy emphasised that Trump has called India a great country. The comments don't reflect reality of India-US ties, MEA said.
