Union Cabinet has approved the 'Khelo Bharat Niti 2025' or 'National Sports Policy 2025'. The policy aims "to establish India as a global sporting powerhouse and a strong contender for excellence at International sporting events, including the 2036 Olympic Games," PIB said in a press release. The policy aims to promote sports tourism and increase participation among women, PIB stated.
